Child Registration Certificate (CRC)

Eligibility:

Every Pakistani child under 18 years of age whose parent(s) possess a valid CNIC / NICOP is eligible to apply for a Child Registration Certificate (CRC).

Document Requirements:

  •  CRC can be obtained by providing documented proof of birth i.e. Computerized Birth Registration Certificate issued by the Union Council / Municipal Committee / Cantonment (for inland births) and Detailed Birth Certificate or S-1 Form (for abroad births).
  • For processing of CRC parent(s) must hold Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) or National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP).
  • Children up to 03 years of age should accompany, only if CRC is being processed for Passport issuance purpose.
  • Photograph of children between the age of 03 and 10 years is mandatory.
  • Photograph & fingerprints of children between the age of 10 and 18 years is mandatory.

How to Apply for a CRC:

CRC can be applied through two methods:

1. NADRA Registration Center (NRC):

Visit the nearest NRC and follow these steps:

  • Obtain a token.
  • Biometric Verification.
  • Photographs and/or fingerprints of children (where required).
  • Attestation by Spouse/Guardian/ Gazetted officer
  • Fee submission. (Executive Rs 500 – 01 days) & (Normal Rs 50 – 07 days)
  • CRC will be printed and handed over upon completion of the processing period against the specific category.

2. Pak ID Mobile App

Parents can apply for CRC of children through the Pak ID Mobile App (Android & iOS).

Go Pak ID Mobile App > Family>CRC > Myself / My blood Relative

Step-by-Step Guide to apply via Pak ID Mobile App:

  • Log in to your Pak ID account or create a new account if you don’t have one.
  • On “Home” page, go to "Family" and select "CRC or B-form".
  •  Choose “Myself”, or select “My Blood Relatives Category”.
  • Select process category. (Executive Rs 500 – 01 days) & (Normal Rs 50 – 07 days).
  • "Start Application", review the prefilled information if there is any missing information (Child) add manually and proceed.
  • Verify parent’s details.
  • Enter Disability details (if required).
  • Capture the child’s photograph and fingerprints (where required).
  • Verify the fingerprints of one parent.
  • Upload the required documents.
  • Review and submit the application.
  • Fee submission. (After approval)
  • CRC will be downloaded (PDF) & appeared in ID Vault upon completion of the processing period against the specific category

Biometric Verification / Attestation for fresh cases / addition of a child: In case, any Blood relative (Father, Mother, Brother and Sister) or spouse is available at the time of application, his / her biometrics will be captured. Otherwise, form will be printed and given to you for attestation. Form shall be submitted to the concerned NRC after attestation.
